A significant urban revitalisation project, the North West Project Alliance integrates urban design, architecture and infrastructure to reconnect previously disconnected suburbs via 4 new rail stations, and a network of paths, parks and multimodal transport options. The design is reflective of the work of the office, where the robust language of infrastructure works in concert with the office’s signature sculptural form making.
I was highly involved in the initial urban design process, working under director Roger Wood. Roles and responsibilities were fluid between architecture and urban design, and included; drawings from concept design to full documentation, production of renders, the use of BIM software, and presentation material.
The project is currently under construction.
